3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

3.1 Mortgage Professionals

When you submit a loan request, your loan details (NOT your personal contact information initially) are shared with MLOs who may bid on your request. Your identity is revealed only when you choose to accept a bid, at which point you can communicate with the MLO through our messaging system.

3.2 Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting, and customer service.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.

3.4 Business Transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest
  • Secure password hashing
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Employee training on data protection

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account, subject to certain legal retention requirements.

5.1 MLO Record Retention Policy

Special Notice for Mortgage Loan Officers: When your MLO account is deleted or terminated, we retain and permanently link the following records to your NMLS ID:

  • All bids submitted on the platform
  • All ratings and reviews received from borrowers
  • Bid acceptance and performance history
  • Platform activity metrics

This retention policy exists to protect borrowers and maintain the integrity of our rating system. It prevents MLOs from erasing poor reviews by deleting their account and re-registering with a clean slate. If you re-register with the same NMLS ID, your complete history will be automatically restored to your new account.

By registering as an MLO, you consent to this permanent record retention policy.
